Pavel Petr is a member of the Department of Social Sciences and a member of the ScientificBoard of the European Research University. He is the First Vice-Chairman of the PRIGO Strategic Board, the highest strategic body of the PRIGO Group, which includes the European Research University.
He was or is also active at the Faculty of Law of Palacký University Olomouc, School of Business Administration in Karviná (Silesian University in Opava) VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. In his academic activities he is mainly engaged in private law issues. He also focuses on law as a scientific discipline and financial and tax law.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law of Masaryk University, where he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and obtained his Ph.D. degree. He obtained his JUDr. degree on the basis of a successful rigorous thesis at the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague. He obtained his LL.M. (Master of Laws) qualification in the joint programme of Masaryk University and Nottingham Trent University.
Pavel Petr is an assessor of the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education in the field of Law. As a long-time HR director and manager of several internationally operating companies, he uses his experience in research on the impact of legislative changes on management in the Czech economy and abroad. He is the author of several monographs and professional articles, which are also registered in internationally recognized databases. He is or has been a principal investigator of basic research projects, including projects funded by the Czech Science Foundation.
