Prof. Christiana Kliková

Christiana Kliková is Vice-Chair of the European Research University Doctoral Programme Board and guarantor of the Bachelor’s degree programmes Economic Policy and Administration and Economic Policy and Public Administration. She acts as a regular chairperson for habilitation and especially professorial proceedings in the field of Economic Policy at other Czech universities, which allows her to co-shape the direction of this field and at the same time expresses the respect of renowned universities for her personality and professional work. Christiana Kliková is a recognized founding member of the “Ostrava” school of economic policy, which has many followers. Christiana Kliková’s main areas of interest are economic and social policy, the institutional environment of the economy, competition, and international competitiveness. She is the co-author of the textbook Economic and Social Policy, which is used as a textbook in most economics and law faculties in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This textbook has 124 citations in Google Scholar and 36 citations in the renowned Web of Science database. These citations include publications in professional journals, but often also in the context of bachelor, diploma, and dissertation theses across Czech universities. She has worked as a researcher on many scientific research projects and is the author of several dozen publications, including publications in impact factor journals and several monographs. She not only supervised hundreds of bachelor and master theses, but was also a successful supervisor of more than a dozen PhD students. She is a frequent chair and member of habilitation and professorial committees in the fields of Economic Policy and Economics.
