Nur Yasar is a dedicated researcher and lecturer with a focus on cultural anthropology. With a rich and diverse professional background, Nur has made significant contributions to academia and cultural exchange initiatives. Currently serving as a Research Fellow at the Institute of Globalization and Multicultural Studies in South Korea since March 2022, Nur engages in cutting-edge research and scholarly activities. Prior to this role, Nur worked as a Translator at Bucheon Pearl S. Buck Memorial Hall and served as a Research Assistant at Hanyang University’s International Lab for Korean Studies in the Middle East. Nur’s teaching experience is equally impressive, having held positions such as Assistant Lecturer at Hanyang University and Guest Lecturer at Yonsei University. Additionally, Nur has conducted seminars and lectures on various topics related to Turkish culture and anthropology at esteemed institutions like Konkuk University and Seoul Multi Culture Museum. In addition to academic pursuits, Nur has actively contributed to multicultural initiatives and global market research efforts. Notably, Nur has served as a Turkish Culture and Language Teacher at Seoul Multi Culture Museum and has been involved with KOIMA Holdings Co., Ltd., where they worked in the Global Market Research Team. Nur’s academic journey includes a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Hanyang University, where they explored diverse cultural phenomena and societal dynamics. Nur also holds a Master’s degree in European Union Studies from Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Dokuz Eylul University, reflecting their interdisciplinary approach to academia.
