Tomáš Wroblowský, Ph.D.

Tomáš Wroblowský is the Deputy Head of the Department of Economics and Economic Policy at the European Research University. He holds a Master’s degree in National Economy and a PhD in Economics from the Faculty of Economics, VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. He also worked there as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics from 2002 to 2023 and was its Head between 2009 and 2017. In teaching, he specializes in Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Fiscal Policy. He has extensive experience in teaching international students, which he gained at the Faculty of Economics of the VSB-Technical University of Ostrava while teaching foreign language courses, as well as during short-term stays in the UK within the Erasmus programme and especially as a visiting professor at Hubei University of Technology. There, he spent a month-long stay from 2010-2018 teaching Public Economics and Public Policy. Outside of academia, he is a secondary school professor at the PORG high school in Ostrava, where he teaches economics and participates in projects aimed at increasing the financial and economic literacy of Czech secondary school students. In the research field, Tomáš Wroblowský focuses mainly on macroeconomics and fiscal policy.
