Veronika Nálepová, Ph.D.

Veronika Nálepová is a member of the Department of Economics and Economic Policy and the Scientific Council of ERUNI. She holds an Ing. degree in National Economy and a Ph.D. in Economics from the Faculty of Economics at VSB- Technical University of Ostrava. Beyond her teaching and managerial roles at PRIGO secondary schools, she has served as a project manager at the Project Support Centre and as a staff member in the Department of the Vice-Rector for Science and Research at VSB- Technical University of Ostrava. In her scientific work, Veronika has, until recently, focused on the relationship between corporate taxation and economic growth, as well as on public finance. Currently, she is interested in microeconomic firm behavior, behavioral economics, and the application of quantitative methods to economic analysis. She is passionate about using advanced IT tools for social science, notably Machine Learning, Business Intelligence, and Big Data Analytics, with a particular focus on the Python programming language. Veronika Nálepová has published numerous articles, some of which are indexed in the Web of Science or Scopus databases. She is the author of two monographs and has led two Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TACR) funded projects as the principal investigator. An active evaluator for TACR and member of the Czech Economic Society, she also contributes as an assessor for the Research, Development, and Innovation Council (RDCI), evaluating scientific excellence within the M1 module of the 2017+ Methodology. Her h-index stands at 3.
