Ing. Boris Navrátil, CSc.
Boris Navrátil works at the Faculty of Economics of the European Research University. He is a member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Economics and a member of the management of the branch of the Czech Economic Society at the European Research University. He specializes in the issues of European integration and economic policy. It mainly deals with the functioning mechanisms of the European Union. He studied National Economic Planning at the Faculty of Economics of the VSB-Technical University of Ostrava where he also defended his dissertation and received the degree of CSc. (Ph.D.). He then worked here as an academic worker at the Department of National Economy and the Department of European Integration, in the position of head or deputy head of the department and long-time chairman of the faculty academic senate and member of the university senate. He cooperates with the Department of Mathematical Analysis and Applications of Mathematics of the Faculty of Science of the Palacký University Olomouc. At the European Research University, he is the guarantor of the teaching of several subjects in the bachelor's and subsequent master's degrees. He has published a number of professional contributions recorded in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. He is the author or co-author of several monographs, university textbooks, co-investigator of development and scientific projects and completed a number of internships abroad not only in ERASMUS programs. He is a member of the editorial board of two professional scientific journals included in the prestigious Scopus database, namely the Review of Economic Perspectives published by Masaryk University in Brno and the journal DANUBE, published by the German publishing house de Gruyter together with the European Research University. It also helps develop ERUNI's relations with European Union institutions. He is a recognized expert in the field of economic integration and economic policy and has produced a number of very successful graduates who work in the country and abroad.
