Mission & vision.
The European Research University is a distinguished non-governmental, non-profit organisation primarily focused on providing accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, as well as non-degree and lifelong learning programmes. Founded on the principles of openness, inclusivity, equality, and respect for individual needs, the ERUNI is dedicated to delivering education based on a non-profit model. The University also holds the status of a Recognised Teaching Centre of the University of London.

The European Research University (ERUNI) places strong emphasis on highly individualised study pathways and the early involvement of students in research, often from the undergraduate level. Admissions are selective, with a focus on academic potential and research aptitude, and research is fully integrated within accredited degree programmes.
ERUNI is recognised for its research-oriented approach and maintains an active international profile in both teaching and research. The University collaborates with partner institutions worldwide and participates in international research initiatives and teams.
Established in 1999, ERUNI has undergone continuous development, receiving state recognition in 2008 and, following a rigorous accreditation process, achieving full university status in 2023.
Today, ERUNI comprises several constituent parts, including faculties focused on degree programmes and associated research activities, as well as colleges dedicated to professionally oriented education, lifelong learning, and non-degree provision. The University also includes additional organisational units delivering tertiary education in accordance with Czech legislation.
Together with the wider ERUNI group, the University educates approximately 4,600 students, upholding its commitment to academic excellence, international engagement, and social responsibility.

At European Research University (ERUNI), we support talented and motivated students through a combination of scholarships, stipends, and research funding — designed to remove financial barriers and enable full focus on academic development.
University of London programmes
Students enrolled in programmes of the University of London and supported by ERUNI RTC may be considered for scholarships funded through the Foundation FOR THE FUTURE.
These scholarships may cover up to 100% of the University of London tuition fees, allowing selected students to pursue their degree entirely free of charge.
Doctoral research fellowship (PhD studies)
Doctoral fellows receive a fully funded financial package designed to support intensive research activity.
This includes:
- a monthly stipend of EUR 4,000,
- the possibility to obtain a doctoral research grant of up to EUR 80,000 for the duration of the study,
- additional funding of up to EUR 8,000 per year for conferences, summer schools, workshops, and other academic activities,
- location in Prague.
This structure enables doctoral fellows to focus fully on research, publication, and international academic engagement.

Facilities.
The ERUNI group operates in several campuses located in Prague, Ostrava, London, Amsterdam, Rome and other cities. Thus, students have at their disposal various workplaces equipped with standard facilities, including sports and cultural facilities, ICT laboratories, libraries, study rooms, canteens, cafeterias and others. A mock kindergarten is available to students of the early childhood education programmes.
