Yi Ping, PhD

Yi Ping is a postdoctoral research fellow at the ERUNI. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Virginia, where she also completed her Master’s Degree in Economics. She earned an additional Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with distinction with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Renmin University of China. Her research centers on macroeconomics and financial economics, with a focus on collateralized debt contracts as market frictions and their implications for economic policy. She also applies machine learning techniques to solve quantitative dynamic general equilibrium models. Beyond research, she has abundant teaching experience in cross-sectional econometrics, financial economics, and macroeconomics.
