Farzan Yahya, Ph.D.

Farzan Yahya is a Research Fellow at the European Research College, London, and the European Research University, Czech Republic. He received his PhD in Financial Analysis and Policy from Universiti Utara Malaysia (AACSB Accredited) in 2017. He previously served as an Associate Professor at the School of Economics and Management, Nanchang Institute of Technology, China, where he leads climate finance research funded by a competitive institutional research grant. Previously, he also served as Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Southern Punjab, Pakistan, where he received the Best Researcher Award in 2022 and assist department in acquiring national and international accreditations besides research and teaching responsibilities. Dr. Yahya's research sits at the intersection of sustainable finance, climate economics, energy transition, and corporate governance. He is particularly known for his work on how financial mechanisms and macroeconomic policies shape environmental outcomes, including energy diversification, carbon emissions, and the green output gap. He has published extensively in leading SSCI- and SCIE-indexed journals, including Energy Economics, Energy, Journal of Environmental Management, Economic Analysis and Policy, Research in International Business and Finance, and Renewable Energy, among others. Dr. Yahya has presented his research at international conferences across Asia and North America.
