Petra Šafránková

Petra Šafránková is Head of ERUNI, the University Grammar School and Secondary School Prague. She graduated from the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň, Faculty of Education, with a degree in Czech Language and Literature and Music Education for Secondary Schools. She is also a graduate of the Secondary School of Education in Most, which has given her a particularly close connection to the field of Early Childhood and Leisure Education. Her career in education has been characterised by dynamic professional growth, progressing within a few years from teaching to the position of Deputy Head and ultimately to Head of School. This reflects her professional commitment, ability to develop her skills and readiness to embrace new challenges.

Petra Šafránková considers lifelong learning to be one of the fundamental prerequisites for successful professional development and demonstrates this commitment through her own example. She is currently expanding her professional and management skills through a bachelor's degree in Educational Management at Charles University. A significant part of her professional career has also been shaped by international experience in aviation, customer service and team management, including roles with Qatar Airways, Oman Air and Smartwings. She draws on her strengths in leadership, communication, empathy and organisational skills, as well as her cosmopolitan outlook. As she puts it, she sees the position of Head of School as a formal role; she feels much closer to the role of a “wellbeing manager for everyone”, creating the conditions for the safety and wellbeing of all members of the school community.
